Care percentage is the share of time a parent cares for a child over a year, usually based on nights, and is used to calculate child support.
Below Regular Care
Below regular care means 0 to 51 nights a year. The formula treats that parent as meeting none of the child’s costs through care directly.
Above Primary Care
Above primary care is when a parent has 86% to 100% care and is treated as meeting 100% of a child’s costs through care.
